Whiz Kids is 30+ volunteers strong, united by a shared passion for supporting the elderly.
Our team members come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique perspective and skills to our mission.
Meet some of them below:
-
Gavin Haroche
FOUNDER & Chairman of the Parsonage Junior Advisory Board.
Greenwich Country Day School
It all started with a phone call from my grandfather; in which he called me over to fix his laptop. Ever since then, I’ve realized how limiting being elderly is, and as a result how technology can change their lives for the better. I would say my grandfather was lucky to have his grandchild always around to fix his tech problems, so I founded Whiz Kids in order to give as many elderly that same experience as possible.
-

Luca Suarez
JUNIOR TECH VOLUNTEER
Greenwich High School
Ever since I can remember, ive been a tech enthusiast with a fascination for all things digital. I've been drawn to the inner workings of computers, smartphones, and gadgets of all kinds. While other kids were playing with action figures, I was busy taking apart old electronics to see how they ticked. Helping the elderly with there technological issues is very fun to me, im very social and love starting a conversation and hearing there stories.

Nikhil Raval
SOPHMORE TECH VOLUNTEER
I have loved technology for as long as I can remember, especially Apple. I have been an Apple user since Day 1 and will never look back. I'm interested in any form of technology. I love helping my friends and family, especially my grandparents, navigate their devices, from setting up iPhones to configuring WiFi systems. I also enjoy photography by using my drone, phone, and cameras to explore new places and document important events in my life. An area of technology I am studying and enjoy learning and doing is Smart Home Automation, which includes locks, thermostats, lighting, etc. and setting up speaker systems, as I love the combination of great-sounding speakers and good music.
